「Starting Point（出発点）」
空色は、私にとって写真の出発点と言えます。
空では何が起こっているだろう？
まず高層ビルに、つまり空色の奥深くに住まう人々のことで頭がいっぱいになりました。
そしてその窓の写真を撮り始め、地面からとても近い、けれど遠くもある、彼らの生活を想像しました。

この色は普遍的で、誰もが空の写真を撮るのを楽しんでいます。
アーティストにとってその中で抜きん出ることは、挑戦です。

より個人的な話をすると、空色は、私が生まれた田舎のことを思い起こさせます。
雲が動くのを待ちながら青空を見つめ、川のほとりの草むらで過ごした時間。
その川の近くに戻ることはもうできませんが、空色の写真を撮るたび、連れ戻されたような気になるのです。

‘STARTING POINT’
The color sora-iro brings me to the starting point of my photography: what’s happening up here, in the sky?
And, at first, I was obsessed with those who are living in tall buildings, deep in the blue.
And I started taking pictures of those windows and started think of the lives of those people, so close and distant in the same time from the ground.

This color is universal, everybody is enjoying taking pictures of the sky, it’s a challenge for the artist to transcend this exercise.

And more personally it reminds me where I was born, in the countryside.
The hours spent in the grass, near the river, looking at the blue sky, waiting for the movements of the clouds.
I never had the chance to go back near this river but I guess every time I take a picture with this color in it, it brings me back there.
