What does color “White” remind you of?

For me the color “White” is the absence of darkness, even sometimes white signifies a void within everything.

The color “White” gives light and transmits purity.
It reminds me of any sculpture from Neoclassicism, neat and pure.

It also brings me back to childhood, to order and tidiness, to design and architecture, and above all it especially evokes Edward Hopper’s realism, in which light is the big protagonist of his paintings.

Q. issue 10のテーマ「ホワイト」から何を連想しますか。

A. 私にとって「ホワイト」は闇の欠乏を意味し、時にはすべての物事に内在する空虚を象徴しているもののように感じます。

「ホワイト」という色は光を与え、無垢さを示してくれます。
それは、新古典主義の様式で作られたあらゆる彫刻を思わせ、端正で、純粋です。

さらに「ホワイト」は私の心を子供時代や、秩序がある整然とした状態、また、さまざまなデザインや建築物を思い出させます。
特に、光が絵画の中で重要な主体を成していたEdward Hopperの写実主義を強く呼び起こすのです。
